PREFACE
In sort to have superior management of emigration from the country, Islamic Republic of Pakistan has set up LIAQAT TRAVEL INTERNATIONAL (LTI) under the Ministry of Labor, Manpower & Overseas Pakistanis, Overseas Employment Promoter License
No. 0809/LHR as a government authorized organization. Before its establishment, foreign employers were although generally satisfied with Pakistani manpower, but they were sometimes not getting right man for the right job. LTI, on the other hand, is conducting its business by safeguarding interest of both the employer and the employee, on sound moral principles and high ethical values. LTI has been able to make a remarkable leap in the field of manpower supply by sending bulk of workers to different countries of the world.
The world has been transformed by the process of globalization. States, societies, economies and cultures in different regions of the world are increasingly integrated and interdependent. New technologies enable the rapid transfer of capital, goods, services, information and ideas from one country and continent to another. The global economy is expanding, providing millions of men, women and their children with better opportunities in life. But the impact of globalization has been uneven, and growing disparities are to be found in the standard of living and level of human security available to people in different parts of the world. An important result of these rising differentials has been an increase in the scales and scope of international migration.
The Organization has established an elaborate website in 1990, which has as of today, CVs of Professionals and Highly Skilled workers both medical and non-medical. So our esteemed foreign clients can now, browse through the CVs of the candidates and make selection of their own choice. Similarly, the Organization is now in a position to respond to any manpower enquiry received from abroad on a short notice.
Scientific manpower available from Pakistan is well qualified, trained and has rich and diversified experience of work at home and abroad in fields like Medicine, Engineering, Education, Science, Agriculture, Manufacturing, Services, Shipping etc. etc. On the construction side, many mega projects like construction of canals, barrages, earth filled dams, buildings, roads bridges and other projects of industrial/commercial nature, both in the country and abroad have provided opportunities to the workers to equip themselves under most demanding conditions, with latest machinery and equipment.
In these countries, where there is a significant concentration of Pakistani migrant workers, Government has designated Officers as Community Welfare Attaches or Labour Counselors in its Missions abroad, who are held to introduce LTI to prospective employers for the promotion of employment of Pakistanis in the countries abroad. They also help and streamline post entry problems both for the workers as well as the employers.
